Rachel and Michael’s love story began in Italy, at a wedding I planned in Umbria. There, as guests at a mutual friend’s wedding, they met, fell in love, and set in motion a journey that would bring them back to Italy for their own wedding. When it came time to say “I do”, they reached out to me, ready to plan a celebration as unique as their love. After capturing their vision and “must-haves,” we scouted locations and chose Rome—the Eternal City—as their backdrop.

Day 1: Pizza Party Welcome Dinner
The celebration began with an authentic Italian pizza party, a casual, fun-filled welcome. Freshly baked pizza and Italian music set the perfect tone as friends and family gathered in the courtyard, a night filled with laughter, introductions, and the start of beautiful memories.

Day 2: The Wedding Day
On the big day, Rachel and Michael’s vision came to life. Rachel prepared with friends in a bridal suite in the castle’s tower, while Michael and his friends gathered in a nearby suite. Guests arrived to prosecco and Aperol Spritz, setting a festive mood. The ceremony took place in a secluded spot, with cello and violin music creating a romantic ambiance. After vows were exchanged, guests moved to the Magnolia Terrace for aperitivo, enjoying Italian delicacies and drinks.

While the couple wandered the gardens for photos, the dinner setup took shape in the castle garden overlooking Rome. Tables were elegantly arranged under the stars, with the castle as a stunning backdrop. Each detail was designed to reflect Rachel and Michael’s style, from natural elements to personal touches like a Limoncello seating plan.
The evening continued with a cake cutting, a beautifully choreographed first dance, and a lively celebration that carried on under the stars, creating lifelong memories for everyone.

The Heart of Destination Wedding Planning
Planning remotely requires attention to detail, adaptability, and a true sense of the couple’s vision. With Rachel and Michael’s wedding, every choice—from limoncello placeholders to the specific flowers—mirrored their personalities. Working as their destination planner allowed me to ensure their style shone through each moment. It’s a process of trust, communication, and dedication that makes destination weddings uniquely beautiful, offering couples an unforgettable experience and guests one-of-a-kind memories.
Rachel and Michael’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration; it was a love story written in the heart of Rome.

Sincerely yours,
