Tina, why did you decide to step into the wedding planning business, being born in NY and living in Italy?
I am the daughter of immigrants from World War II, when my grandparents left for America in search of a better future, bringing our entire family with them. My passion for weddings comes mainly from the U.S., where the wedding industry is truly at its peak.
During my teenage years, my father decided to return to Italy. As I grew up, my fascination with the wedding world kept growing, especially since, at the time, the role of a wedding planner didn’t really exist in Italy.
When I was a child in New York, I met many Italian families who wanted their children to get married in Italy to stay connected to their roots and traditions. This inspired me to specialize in destination weddings. I have dedicated years to training, gaining extensive experience, and obtaining professional certifications to provide the best possible service to couples who dream of getting married in Italy.
What is the most attractive for you to be a wedding planner and continue this business for so many years? What inspires you to keep going?
What drives me to continue in this profession is the deep love I have for making a couple’s most special day truly wonderful and unforgettable. Seeing their happiness and knowing that I played a part in creating such a meaningful moment fills me with immense satisfaction.
The greatest reward comes at the end of the wedding when they look at me, say “Thank you,” and embrace me. In that hug, I feel all the warmth, joy, and love of their happiness, and that feeling is simply priceless.
What was the most memorable wedding throughout your whole career that you would like to share its story with the world?
I have experienced many memorable weddings, but the most extraordinary one was undoubtedly my daughter’s. It was an indescribable moment, filled with emotions that are impossible to put into words. Organizing my own daughter’s wedding meant not only planning every detail with the utmost care but also experiencing all the emotions of a mother – anxieties, worries, and the deep desire for everything to be absolutely perfect.
With the breathtaking beauty of Sorrento as the backdrop, our guests were our closest family, and the expectations were incredibly high. I felt the immense responsibility of making sure everything was flawless. In the end, it was truly a fairytale wedding. I selected the best professionals, and seeing my daughter’s happiness made all the effort worthwhile. It was an experience I will cherish forever.
