3 Big Dreams & One Rainy Miracle: Inside the World of Gianna Grieco, The W Day

How did it happen that the lady with Italian name (I may assume following Italian roots) lives in Switzerland?

I’m originally from Italy, but I was born in Lausanne, Switzerland. My parents initially thought they would stay only a few years, but eventually they decided to settle here. Switzerland offers undeniable advantages – it’s a country that functions exceptionally well, and once you experience life here, it’s hard to imagine living anywhere else…

What are your 3 business goals for the near future?

My first goal is to further develop destination weddings. I’m already specialized in weddings in France and Italy, but I would like to expand into more distant countries in the near future.

The second goal would be to organize a wedding for a major celebrity. I have already worked with well-known personalities, but I would love to experience this on a whole new scale, with everything it entails in terms of logistics, exclusivity, and confidentiality.

For the third goal, it would be to take the client experience in the luxury wedding industry even further, an area I’m already exploring through immersive concepts, 3D visualization tools, and extensive personalization. My ambition is to continue innovating, refining every detail to create ever more unique, sensory, and memorable experiences, where every guest truly feels transported into the couple’s universe.

Have you ever experienced the most messed up wedding or event that took so much thorough planning but on the event day everything went wrong?

Thank God, no! It’s obviously every planner’s biggest fear: that an unpredictable element will disrupt an entire day.
The biggest unforeseen challenge I’ve faced was weather-related. We had to work for hours in pouring rain, only to end up celebrating the wedding under a beautiful sky. But you know, after heavy rain, the atmosphere often becomes peaceful, and the light takes on incredible tones. It added an extra charm to the day.
