Today, we gather to celebrate a love story as unique and vibrant as Carolina and Eduardo themselves – or as their friends affectionately call them, Carol and Dudu. She’s a true Carioca from Rio, full of charm and spontaneity. He’s a laid-back Minas Gerais native who finds joy in life’s simple pleasures. Even their football teams – Flamengo and Fluminense – don’t see eye to eye. But that’s the beauty of it, isn’t it? Their differences only make their bond stronger and their journey more colorful.
From the start, Carol and Dudu have been the life of the party, whether it’s traveling, laughing, or just being their dynamic selves. Uncle Paulo, their biggest cheerleader, had a favorite joke: “So, Dudu Maravilha, when’s the wedding?” Well, Uncle Paulo, here we are today, making it official!
Their story began in the charming town of Além Paraíba, where fate worked its magic. At just 13, they exchanged shy glances, not yet knowing the adventure ahead. But as life would have it, the real spark didn’t ignite until they were 22. Their reunion at a funk party was pure serendipity. Eduardo, eyeing another girl, got a bold remark from Carol: “You’re checking out that ugly girl?” Dudu, quick-witted as ever, shot back. And just like that, between teasing and laughter, their first kiss sealed the deal.
What followed was a whirlwind of conversations and discoveries, but with no rush. So much so that during Carnival 2014, they took a “break” to enjoy the festivities solo. But by March, Eduardo couldn’t wait any longer and popped the big question: “Will you be my girlfriend?” Carol’s cheeky reply? “I still want to have fun!” By June, though, their relationship was official, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
What followed was a whirlwind of conversations and discoveries, but with no rush. So much so that during Carnival 2014, they took a “break” to enjoy the festivities solo.
