Castello di Casole, A Belmond Hotel Verified listing

Castello di Casole is a sprawling 4,200-acre estate that offers one of the most expansive and dramatic settings in Tuscany. As a Belmond property, it specializes in "bucolic luxury," occupying a 10th-century castle that sits atop a hill, providing 360-degree views of rolling vineyards and olive groves. What makes this venue truly stand out is its balance of ancient charm and cinematic scale. It features a private Etruscan amphitheater, carved into the hillside, which serves as a spectacular, unconventional setting for outdoor ceremonies or starlit dinners.

The estate is unique for its "village-like" feel, centered around a charming stone courtyard that glows under fairy lights at night. Unlike more compact villas, Castello di Casole offers a vast sense of space – perfect for multi-day wedding "safaris" including truffle hunting, vineyard picnics, and stargazing sessions led by certified astronomers. The interiors are a masterclass in Tuscan elegance, featuring reclaimed wood beams and terracotta flooring, but it is the outdoor Tosca Terrace that wins over couples; its elevation makes you feel as though you are floating over the Val d'Elsa. It is the premier choice for those seeking a grand, high-service retreat where the rugged beauty of the wilderness meets the sophistication of an elite resort.
