Villa Claudia Teano Changed the Format of a Wedding Open Day

When we started planning this event with Villa Claudia Teano, one thing was clear from the first call: we didn’t want another “walk around, smile, imagine” kind of open day.

So we changed the rules. Yes, couples were invited. But not only couples.

We invited wedding professionals, partners, people who work inside weddings and people who live them as guests. Different eyes, different expectations, different ways of reading the same space.

That decision alone changed everything.

We didn’t want people to look at the villa

We wanted them to feel it. No guided tours with speeches. No “here you can do this, here you can place that”.

People arrived and moved through the villa the way they would on a real wedding day.
They sat. They waited. They talked. They watched others arrive. They followed the flow without thinking about it.

Couples felt the atmosphere. Professionals watched how the space behaves under pressure.
Guests understood where they would be comfortable, bored, excited, relaxed.

The villa did the talking.

Then the weather decided to join the event

A few days before, the forecast showed rain. The kind of rain that usually makes venues nervous.

At Villa Claudia, it became a test – and an opportunity. Instead of hiding Plan B, the owner and team showed it. Calmly. Openly. Without excuses. Guests saw how quickly the setup changed, how the mood stayed intact, how nothing felt forced. That moment said more than any sales pitch ever could.

Because everyone in the room understood the same thing at the same time: this is a place that knows how to handle reality.

What stayed with people after

Nobody left saying “nice decorations” or “beautiful garden”.

People talked about how easy the day felt. How clear the movement was. How relaxed the team stayed.
How they could imagine being a guest here for hours without getting tired or lost.

That’s not something you explain. That’s something you experience.

Why this mattered to us

We organised this event as WEMA Global together with Villa Claudia, and we’re proud of this collaboration for a simple reason.

The owner and the team are open. Open to testing new formats. Open to showing real conditions, not ideal ones. Open to thinking beyond their own business and contributing to how weddings are presented and understood.

They don’t just host weddings.
They help move the industry forward.

And honestly – that’s rare.
