Story

Aquapetra stems from the restoration of a bygone hamlet dating back to 1858. Throughout its cobbled streets, in the quaint square, in the stone buildings the energy of an inhabited hub teeming with history and identity, and which come alive with new lives, buzzes. Limestone, wood and terracotta together create an atmosphere both warm and welcoming. Light takes centre stage: owing to its glass structures, interior and exterior become merged, offering up a continuous dialogue with nature.

Every corner is unique, having its own special something. Spaces formerly used as the hamlet’s cellar and pantry now house a special place, made of stone vaults and large windows where Sannio’s gastronomic wealth is celebrated evening after evening. Within the kitchen of La Locanda del Borgo, Executive Chef Luciano Villani interprets the same philosophy that permeates every corner of Aquapetra: harmony, balance and creativity.
