Description
Villa Orlando is one of those venues where the setting does most of the storytelling. Sitting right on the shores of Lake Massaciuccoli, it feels less like a countryside villa and more like a private lakeside estate with a strong personality – a bit dramatic, a bit nostalgic, very cinematic.
The key difference here is the water element + scale of the park. You’ve got over 150 meters of private lakefront, pine forest, hidden corners, and long tree-lined avenues. Weddings don’t happen in one place – they unfold across the estate: ceremony by the lake, aperitivo under trees, dinner near the villa or stables, then the party moves again. It’s fluid, almost like staging scenes rather than hosting a single event.
There’s also a distinct atmosphere tied to its history – built in 1869 as a hunting lodge and later connected to artists and composers like Puccini, the villa carries a slightly theatrical, old-world tone.
This works especially well for large destination weddings that want variety without changing venue. Compared to classic Tuscan hill villas, this one feels more romantic, lush, and a bit cinematic, with the lake acting as a constant backdrop.
