Description
Villa Reale di Marlia is one of the largest historic villa estates in Tuscany, located just outside Lucca. The property spans around 16 hectares of landscaped gardens, historic buildings and monumental park features. The estate was once the residence of Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi, sister of Napoleon and Princess of Lucca, which gives the villa strong historical significance.
For weddings and large events, the venue offers multiple distinct areas across the park: formal gardens, monumental fountains, lakeside settings and restored indoor halls. The layout allows large-scale events where different phases of the celebration can move between spaces – ceremony in the gardens, cocktails near the lemon garden or lake, dinner in the historic stables or outdoor areas. The estate operates mainly as a major event venue rather than a full hotel, though luxury suites inside the villa can be used for getting ready or limited overnight stays.
